ARCHI'VE Imagined: Kent Archives Talk and Tour
Are you writing historical fiction or non-fiction? Join archivist Mark Bateson for a behind-the-scenes tour of the Kent archives followed by a workshop with the experts. Discover the wealth of resources available at the Kent archives as Mark demonstrates the potential of historical records as source material for creative writers.

Archive Mining (or never underestimating the power of serendipity)
Dr Jane Shankar, author of upcoming novel Dode, talks about how the Kent Archives helped to shape her novel. From manorial records to notebooks, estate accounts to pastedowns, Dr Shankar takes you through the possibilities that research can bring to your writing.

You've Written a Novel. What Next?
Congrats! You've finished your novel. But what happens now? Get an agent? A publisher? What other options are available to authors today? Mark Stay, writer and co-presenter of the Bestseller Experiment podcast, has a wealth of information to share about publishers, agents, advances, royalties, self-publishing and more. Q&A session available.

Building a Marketing Plan for your Book
Join marketing expert and author coach Kelly Weekes as she shows you how to find your ideal readers and to tell them about your book. In this unmissable workshop, Kelly explains the key stages of forming a marketing plan that really resonates with your audience.

Local Writers' Showcase
The final day of the festival gives local authors a chance to share their work with visitors to the Lockmeadow Entertainment Centre. If you would like to hire a pitch for the day to share your work, contact us at email@example.com. Alternatively, join us as a visitor, meet other local writers, speak to a local publisher and maybe you'll find your next favourite read!
